Models Platform: a content platform with a built-in store

updated 4 min read

A premium content platform with age verification and a store. Pages are rendered on the server, load fast and get indexed well.

Models Platform - Content Hub: main screen

The challenge

The project needed a platform where models' content could be shown and sold in one place. Usually the showcase and the store are built separately, and visitors get lost between sites before they buy. Every jump to another site with a different look lowers trust and the chance that a person pays.

The second requirement was search traffic. Good-looking sites built on client-side JavaScript often load slowly and get indexed poorly, which means they miss out on free visitors from Google.

Age verification was also needed, since the content is for adults. All of this had to fit together while the site stayed fast and kept its look.

The solution

I built the platform on Next.js with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, using Turbopack during development. Pages are rendered on the server, so the search engine gets ready text right away and visitors see the page sooner. Turbopack speeds up builds during development, so changes get to testing faster.

I combined the content showcase and the store into one product. For payments I connected Stripe, so buying doesn't send the visitor off to a third-party site with a different look.

Age verification sits at the entrance. I made the design premium but light, so it doesn't slow down loading.

How the system works

Content platform for models

The showcase presents content in a clean, premium design. Visitors browse the material, pick what interests them and go straight to buying from there.

The design is premium but without heavy effects that slow down loading. The content stays the focus.

Built-in store with Stripe payments

The store is built into the same platform as the showcase. Stripe takes the payment, and the whole path from browsing to buying happens on one site.

Why the showcase and store are one product

Visitors view content and buy it on the same site, with the same design. They don't have to figure out again where to click, and they don't wonder whether it's the same project.

It's simpler for the owner too: one platform instead of a showcase and a separate store that both need upkeep and have to be linked together.

18+ age verification

Before entering, visitors confirm they are 18 or older. Content opens only after they confirm.

For the visitor it's one short step on the first visit, and after that they can browse the showcase freely.

SEO for a Next.js content platform

Server-side rendering in Next.js hands the search engine a finished page, not an empty shell that scripts have to fill in. Pages like that are easier for search engines to index.

For visitors, it means a fast first load. The faster a page opens, the fewer people leave before it finishes loading.

Who it is for

Content and sales projects that care about site speed and search traffic. A fit for anyone who wants to keep the showcase and the store in one place. For example, models and teams who sell content directly and want visitors from search.

Project FAQ

Why Next.js instead of a regular React site?

Next.js renders pages on the server, so the search engine gets ready content right away. For a platform that needs search traffic, that matters: pages load faster and get indexed better. A regular React site builds the page in the browser, so the search engine doesn't see it right away.

Can the platform accept payments?

Yes. In this project the store is built into the platform, and Stripe handles payments. We'll talk in advance about whether Stripe fits your project.

How long does it take to build a platform like this?

It depends on the size of the catalog, the store features and the design. Message me on Telegram, tell me about the project, and I'll give you a timeline.

Can the platform be customized for me?

Yes. The platform is written in TypeScript, so new sections and features are added without rewriting it from scratch.
